About The Artist

Born in Hyderabad in 1939, after preliminary practice in the art of drawing and painting at local schools, joined Sir J. J. School of Arts, Mumbai and obtained Diploma in Painting in the year 1964. Studied "Mural techniques" at faculty of Fine Arts, M. S. University, Baroda, in the year 1967 under the guidance of Professor K.G. Subramanyan.

Held many solo exhibitions and participated in group exhibitions at all the major cities of India.

Was an active member of DISHA - a creative artists group which projected the contemporary social situation in India.

Joined Doordarshan Kendra, Hyderabad in the year 1972.

Trained at Film and Television Institute of India FTII, Pune in the year 1976 & 1982 in the field of "Film and Television Programme Production Techniques", became trained Television Producer and continued working for Doordarshan Kendra

Retired as Assistant Station Director, Doordarshan Kendra in the year 1996.

Conferred Doctorate in "Television Communication and role of Indian Culture" in the year 2003, Osmania University Hyderabad

Guest Faculty "Communication and Journalism" at Osmania University, Hyderabad, 2003

Guest Faculty Dept. of Theatre Arts, Osmania University, Hyderabad, 2003

At present he is practicing as a professional painter in hyderabad

TV & Media

The Study of Theatre Arts, Film and Television Media have moulded him to express his creative endeavor more convincingly. He has chosen to study and research which resulted in completing his ph.d in "Television Communication and role of Indian Culture" from Osmania University, Hyderabad
